Possibly a modified Crossley tender from WW1.

This unidentified 1916 vehicle looks the same body and detail, though with different wheels - Link to "digital.library.lse.ac.uk" . There seems to have been another NUWSS X-ray/ambulance with different style - http://archiveshub.ac.uk/images/content/cotmnuwss.jpg . There is a description at Link to "rcnarchive.rcn.org.uk" which does not mention make or model.

Footage may come from this - http://www.screenonline.org.uk/film/id/1280154/ . Seems NUWSS (National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies) provided support in France - eg Link to "www.forgottenbooks.com"

Footage of the Royaumont X-ray car, was indeed from SCOTTISH WOMEN'S HOSPITALS (1.56); a patient is taken to the x-ray car. Filmed on the front line at Villers-Cotterets and in Salonika.

The Scottish Women’s Hospital at Royaumont, France 1914–1919 https://www.rcpe.ac.uk/sites/default/files/weiner.pdf

"The hospital was renowned for its fully equipped mobile X-ray car. This state-of-the-art vehicle was manufactured by Austins for the London branch of the NUWSS at a cost of £300 (around £24,000 today)." Link to "www.cambridge.org"

An Austin 15hp ambulance was available at the time possibly the same chassis?

Well found!

Once a source was found, I was surprised at the amount of detail available, but the Scottish Women’s Hospital had apparently the foresight that X-ray equipment would be vital in informing surgeons about the location of bullets and shrapnel. They worked with the French military, the British Army dismissing any offers of assistance.

Further information on the Austin used, actually 20 hp for the first X-ray Car named the 'London Unit' where the charity donations were sought. Source "The Invisible Light"

"A quotation for £590 (why the difference with the £300 elsewhere did Austins make their own contribution?) for a 20 HP Austin ambulance ‘built to war office requirements’, arrived at the beginning of May. The stretchers and fittings were to be removed to make room for the x-ray equipment and darkroom facilities."

A second, "small, low-slung 20 hp Wolseley lorry" which was sourced in Glasgow, the 'Girton and Newnham Unit', was less successful because of low ground clearance.

edit: Photos of the second Scottish Womans Hospital Glasgow X-ray Car added.
