:??: We already had this specific car here, but I cannot find it any more?!

It is one of the very last from December 1974 onwards. With nitpicking you can say it's not even a 1975-MY any more, because these last 800 K 70 weren't made according the offical model-programme. Only three colours were available: sonnengelb (as here), marinogelb and marathonmetallic and only two interior colours: black and blue (btw.: blue was not in the range any more since Summer 1973, but in the Salzgitter-plant they had still a lot of blue seat-cloth left over). And you couldn't choose any more between the standard and the L-trim line. These cars have a wild mixture of details.
This car has got the "Italian front wings" and -as it seems- the "Swedish front bumper". You see the black plastic cap on the place, where the side indicators for I, DK, N and J were normally sitting. And these "Swedish bumpers" are the version for the headlamp-washers - but without washers and without the longer holder. On the holes for the washer-nozzles they put a chromated plastic cap.
btw.: these black and chromates plastic caps are two of the three K 70-parts, which don't have a spare part number and without a listing in any catalogue. The third part (but which was used during the whole production times) is a cardboard-lid over the left glovebox.

Anyways, a  for such a rarity. In fact it's the only official pic of one of these very last K 70.

I think this K70 is worth for the entire documentary. I mean that without this K70 I would agree with cicomarx... but this rare beauty with the explanations by ingo is pure extasy.
I have to admit to like a lot this unluky Mädchen...

Ingo, can you tell me how can you recognize by outside each year of the K70.
I remember the add of a black gum insert for the front bumper for '72, the new hood for '73 8and quad headlight for the L trim), the strange LS in '73 but You know how to tell a '74 and something about the C pillar and the early grilles. Could you explain to me. I love the VW-NSU girl. If you can show the picture to spot the difference I will be grateful forever.

The most crucial details (except by the colours - VW had changed the colour-range nearly every year back then)
- MY 1971: short bumpers with the chrome-edges
- MY 1972: rounded bumpers, still the old body (rectangular headlights, vents in the C-pillar, plain engine-bonnet with plastic air-intake)
- MY 1973: complete new front (most obvious are the double headlights)*
- MY 1974: from the outside no difference to the 1973, most obvious is the 1303-steering wheel
- MY 1975: no visible changes to the 1974, except the items of the 800 latest, as shoen above.

- the LS-special model (May-July 1973): black stripes on the side, black back panel, only in sonnengelb and marathonmetallic
- L-trim line: rubbers on the bumper, all other details for the interior, nothing technical.
- 1974/75 LS to the L: only by the badge.
- the 75hp had no rev.counter, the 90hp and 100hp always (but it was an optional extra and later on changed by many K 70-drivers in less than 5 minutes, so not crucial)

*the first 73-MY (until Oct 72) still had the BOSCH-taillights with the horizontal chrome strip

P.S. A very rare "hybrid" is /vehicle_31593-Volkswagen-K70-Typ-48-1972.html only June 1972.

Dear Ingo, thank you so much. You have to know that I successfully collected in the past a brochure for each year of such pretty girl (The K70) but the early bumpers or the '73 grille with rectangular lights are not easy for me to spot. As I will be back home from this holiday I will check. Thank you fprever
Danke sehr...sehr nett von Dir.

Well, never ever trust the pics in the VW-sales brochures  Especially back in the 70ies, but in other times, too, they are cobblework as its worst [:kiki]

Anyways, I happy, that I could help you. You're welcome :)

I discovered that a single K70 Kombi prototype was built. I saw the picture on the net, but you certainly are aware of this. The picture was in black and White. Have you seen this picture in color and in the case do you know in which colour was it ?

About VW and most other brochures you are right.

Not sure, if there were 1 or 2 NSU K 70-Kombi-prototypes. I have a set of photos (new copies of the original negatives, owned by the NSU GmbH) of it. It even had a second back row, openable from the trunk bottom (similar to the Peugeot 504 Break).

I also own the other only known (for now) NSU K 70-goodies https://imageshack.com/i/f026a693j :)

BEAUTIFUL...!!!
About your comment, You were very usefull because I though that the prototype was not a NSU job but a later VW studio work.
