Cool pictures. I never saw this car in the movie. The car is a E23 1983-1987 733i or 735i. Sadly, the wheels are crome-plated (typical California mod). |

It probalbly has an inline 6 cylinder in it. |

License plate is briefly seen. 2DCY782 is a '83 says smog test site. It doesn't get more descriptive than "7-Series". |

I rarely see these now.In the 90s, they had depreciated enough where lower income people could buy them,but they couldn't afford the expensive upkeep. A family member worked for a European Auto repair center around '99 or 2000 and they didn't like these cars at his shop.They liked the 3 and 5 series, but the 6 and 7 series were too high maintenance for their liking and thought they were too much trouble. |

I just now noticed that there is a E30 in the right hand side of the main pic, you can just barely tell because of the blurriness. |

Funny how I watched this movie all the time as a kid and didn't know what kind of car this was. Recently watched it again, and immediately recognized it as a E23. Experience with time:) |
