Good find!
I would have thought the colour would be blue/white ou cream rather than red?... It's probably the origin colour of UK city from where they come? any clue for an inquiry about that?

These buses were ex London Transport, sold after the end of WWII because they did not fit in with LT's policy of using AEC products where it could. They were also extremely spartan as built, with wooden seats upstairs and few opening windows, although that seems to have been changed in the pictures. The buses were built to wartime standards and were the only double deck buses permitted to be built for most of the WWII period, on government orders to save both labour and materials, and because the other manufacturers were busy building military equipment. LT had both Guy Arab I and II buses from a variety of coachbuilders but got rid of them as soon as it could selling them to countries like The Canary Islands, Ceylon, Kenya, Rhodesia, Yugoslavia (as they were known at the time), and even Scotland.

The LT origins may explain the red colour.

The history of wartime "Utility" buses is complex, although the government's idea was that Bedford built the only single deck, and Guy the only double deck buses available there were many exceptions, including frustrated export orders and "unfrozen" chassis, before somebody comes up with a 1944 Leyland to tell me I'm wrong.
