2006-12-01 23:03 | Stucked and wrecked...it´s only a luxury sedan overisized... |
2006-12-02 19:26 | The World's most Pointless SUV. |
2006-12-04 00:22 | Well it's like a jewel-encrusted walking stick, it doesn't really exist for practical purposes. |
2006-12-04 00:27 | This makes my Yukon seem practical, lol |
2006-12-04 00:33 | Doesn't the Escalade share the same platform as the Yukon and the Tahoe/Surburban, anyway? Which makes it a pimped-up Yukon. |
2006-12-04 00:45 | Yes, all of General Motors’s new 2007 (full-size) SUVs’ are bult on the GMT-900 truck platform… -- Last edit: 2007-09-25 15:28:06 (G-MANN) |

2006-12-09 09:11 | One of the MOST BEAUTIFUL SUV's in the world!! |
2006-12-20 18:20 | Have you guys seen the new Lincoln luxury pickup truck? It's a big POS. |
2006-12-20 18:34 | nope! |
Explorer4x4 2006-12-20 20:28 | The Mark LT? No, its not a piece of shit. |
2006-12-20 20:31 | Here it is-![]() |
Explorer4x4 2006-12-20 20:33 | -Good looking -F-150 based so: strong, reliable and durable -Luxurious (basically a King Ranch F-150). -- Last edit: 2007-09-25 15:29:58 (G-MANN) |
2006-12-20 20:38 | Yeah, but it's a stupid idea. A LUXURY pick up truck? Come on, people only get these things to attract attention. I very much doubt we'll be seeing farmers and construction workers driving these. |
Explorer4x4 2006-12-20 20:43 | They've made luxury versions of everything. And the Escalade EXT is a luxury truck, so the LT is not the only one. -- Last edit: 2007-09-25 15:29:28 (G-MANN) |
2006-12-21 00:38 | At least the Mark LT is a better execution than the Blackwood was. The Mark LT, although there's a limited market, the development costs would've been next to nothing, I imagine a guy just glued the Lincoln badge on, and called it a day. And, for what it's worth, there's a small market, in head contractors, consrutction supervisors, etc (the guy at the top, but still a guy who needs a truck). |
2006-12-21 00:43 | A flashy luxury pickup truck kind of defeats the object (some would say a luxury 4x4 does as well), it's OK for a regular pickup to be comfortable inside, but on the outside it has to be something you're willing to use for rough work. -- Last edit: 2006-12-21 00:44:10 |
2007-07-24 07:50 | Its useless with a capital U. |
2007-08-05 01:23 | Watch the clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2gbslH5koI |
2007-08-05 01:34 | Well, I've just seen it for myself, and it was entertaining, although something seems a little suspect about how the Escalade failed, if you watch the video, the Escalade gets totally stuck on a steep bank but a track still runs alongside, so it looks like they've swerved off the track and deliberately ploughed it into the bank, which no 4x4 could clear. The Range Rover's probably still miles better as an offroader than the H2 and the Escalade, it made it to the top with Clarkson driving it and he's not the best driver in the world. |
2007-08-05 02:41 | I just got back from the store and saw the video clip. The Escalade never made it to the top. Fine, I wouldn’t expect it too. It’s not made for off-road use (I find it funny that he even included it in the first place) Common sense would tell you that an Escalade would never make it to the top (of anything, except a paved driveway ) However the fact that they show the Hummer never made it to the top is freaking hilarious. I will tell you right now, I am NOT a Hummer lover. I do not care for them and buying one has never crossed my mind. But I do give credit where credit is do; the Hummer H2 is a exceptional Off-Roader and I think that test was rigged. There is an abundance of reputable magazine articles (Peterson’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road for sure said the H2 was blessed in hill climbing) , Professional Off-Road testing in areas like Moab Utah (a location far worse in nature than where Clarkson was at. I wouldn’t even dare take my Expedition to Moab. The Expedition is a good moderate Off-Roader, but it is not as good as the Hummer H2. Something smells fishy around here, and I think its Clarkson. -- Last edit: 2007-08-05 05:09:05 |
2007-08-05 02:57 | Well, like I said I think they deliberately ploughed the Escalade into that steep bank instead of taking an easier route up. And they don't explain at all what happened to the Hummer, it just stops. But do you think the Range Rover is a better offroader than the H2? -- Last edit: 2007-08-05 03:03:13 |

2007-12-18 14:14 | You're so right ![]() |
2007-12-18 14:19 | !!!! |
2007-12-18 14:21 | Actually the European version has a type of alloys ive seen that are beautiful they are similar to those ones but smaller, so it makes it look even nicer to me, these are the wheels im refering to Link to "www.netcarshow.com"Better or not better , erm...thinking it better, dont respond .... ![]() |
2007-12-18 15:31 | The thing about these big alloy rims on super-low profile tyres is don't they just end up getting scratched on kerbs and stuff? |
2007-12-18 16:13 | Indeed, but G-MANN, i know you just hate it but, if you had to choose wouldnt you prefere the ones in the link i provided? |
2007-12-19 18:02 | sorry carchasesfanatic I just think the Cadillac sedans look better than the Escalade. The wheels in your link look better than the other wheels. |
2007-12-19 23:16 | Last gereration Escalade was nicer. The Mark LT, that idea doesn't really make much sense to me. |
2008-01-07 20:11 | "Ugly SUV" is so often a pleonasm ... ![]() |
2008-01-07 23:26 | Yes, like saying "cold ice cube". Honestly, I don't know what people see in them (those who have no use for a 4x4). -- Last edit: 2008-01-07 23:52:53 |
2008-02-10 23:14 | I looked at the film closely and saw that the Escalade was attempting to climb a steep hill. So I'm assuming it slid down and got stuck. I'd blame the driver for having poor offroading skill, or over estimating the Escalade's abillities. The H2, if you look closely is on a very steep slope. I think I'd blame the vehicle height, having such poor center of gravity. It may have stopped from the severe slope angle, may have over stressed something important. |
