Chevrolet for sure. I would say a 1951 or 1952 DeLuxe Styleline Convertible Coupe. Rather a 1952, but some trim is missing on the rear wing. |

It is a 1951 due to the handle (or ornament) on the lid. And Styleline comes first, De Luxe is not a series in itself. |

You may be right here, but I always thought that the two names of the Chevrolet series for 1951/52 were Special (1500) and DeLuxe (2100), Styline and Fleetline bodies being available in both series. |

There´s a logic in that, but Chevrolet did the other way around and put the bodytypes as series between 1949-52, both available in different trimlevels. From 1953 models the designations Special and De Luxe are dropped and the cars are "One-Fifty" or "Two-Ten" instead deriving from series numbers 1500 - 2100. http://mclellansautomotive.com/photos/B3331.jpg http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/1950Chevrolet/index.html http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/Chev/1951/index.htm http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/Chev/1952/index.htm http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/Chev/1954/index.html |
