This is Olive Field who apparently died in this car shortly after http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4415466/bio "She, her chauffeur and her nurse were all killed in a car crash when their Rolls Royce was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry." |

It may have a Bentley plate-but it has the Rolls grille-So I say that it is a Silver Cloud I or II |

Correction to my earlier post based on IMDb bio. This Rolls Royce was not involved in the accident. "Mrs Field died along with her chauffeur and nurse in 1973 in Coniscliffe Road when her Morris Marina (she had just sold her 1955 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud) collided in slippery conditions with a lorry." Link to "www.darlingtonandstocktontimes.co.uk" Wouldn't this car have a known chassis number? |

PY 8000 was issued North Yorkshire, January 1928, so has been around the houses a bit. We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided BENTLEY NOT RECORDED 1972 Registration number: PY 8000 Body type: Convertible Colour: Colour Not Stated Date of first registration: July 1972 https://www.flickr.com/photos/28439790@N03/6671543993 If this RR SC1 survived after the presumed 1972 plate transfer, it would have another unknown plate. It's also possible that PY 8000 was not its first plate, but only adopted if and when the plate's owner bought it as a used car and discarded the original number. -- Last edit: 2022-12-14 13:39:31 |

I was thinking of the "supplied new to" information robgeelen and others post /v169614.html I don't know what source he uses. Presumably it was purchased new by Norman Field in 1955. |

There is no current record of PY8000 in the Bentley Drivers Club online membership list. I have also checked “Members and their Bentleys” for 1982, 1987, 2006 and 2012, and can’t find it there, either. -- Last edit: 2022-12-14 09:02:35 |
