This was also my first thought...Fiat Vignale Samantha maybe like here: /vehicle_385953-Vignale-Samantha-1969.html ... But I did not expect her in the UK! -- Last edit: 2014-03-31 16:53:27 |

I agree, and looking on google there are many of them with British or Dutch plate so it was sold also there: https://www.flickr.com/photos/44381054@N05/10876543445 |

I think they were imported by Radbourne Racing who were UK Abarth distributors at the time. |

We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided FIAT 125 S Registration number: ALX 483H Body type: Coupe Colour: Red Date of first registration: November 1969 ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 1 November 1979 ALX 485H has similar info but blue to suggest another Samantha (untaxed since 82) and 484H which is still taxed on road has strange info as yellow Fiat-linked spider with 499cc, and could be Vignale Gamine noddy car. Other 48xH records are either disappeared or different non-Fiats. ALX xxxH series may have been a Greater London allocation for unusual things, so it's also possible that Fiat UK brought in a little group of Vignales. "Designed by Vignale and reputedly only 100 of these beautiful cars were ever made and only 27 in RHD format" from ad for surviving RHD in UK, BLH 95H. |
