Spoon is correct, it's definitely the CH Coupe.

The coupes are a much longer wheelbase and overall length than the (quite stubby) Charger, and loaded up with luxury options being a town-car/limo type of model. Those big square power seats are from the coupe.

Also the coupe had a Dodge-like bumper that encircled the grille. The one shown here has a section cut out of the top to allow for the (what looks like) Pontiac grille & hood. The standard grille has horizontal bars and quad 5" diameter headlights. The area where the gunner stands looks to be cut out along the trailing roof crease where it slopes down into the rear deck. All four windows roll down in the coupe whereas the charger rear passenger windows are either fixed on hinged due to the rear wheel wells being too far forward.

Believe it or not that is what they were called. They were the top line model in the Valiant range and Chrysler Australia policy was to distinguish them from ordinary Valiants there was no reference to Valiant on the so they called them Chrysler by Chrysler. See http://www.chargerclubofwa.asn.au/MembersCars/CxC.htm
Previous top line mdels in the Valiant range were called VIPs

It looks like it's been fitted with some '66 Pontiac trim (grille and hood emblem).

Hood and grille are positively 1966 Pontiac full-size (Bonneville, Catalina, Executive).

I just do not think this thing is any kind of chrysler. The grill work looks to much like pontiacs handy work and that hood emblem looks way to comfortable there. Kinda like it belongs :??:

Not to be too much of a technical killjoy, the car is actually a Chrysler by Chrysler CH Hardtop, not the coupe, the 'coupe' is actually the Charger according to Chrysler Australia's parts manual.
The one in the picture, fitted with a Pontiac bonnet (hood) and grille section, and that awful rear bumper off something, has too much CH equipment to be a upped version of the VH or VJ hardtops. Specifically, the seats are CH, the front guard spear repeater lamps and chrome trim are CH, look closely and you will see where the Chrysler by Chrysler front bumper has been cut at the top to allow the fitment of the Ponty bonnet. The rear gunner is sitting on a inserted panel in the boot (trunk) area and the rear window sill panels have been removed. Last but not least the CH Hardtop has a smaller rear window than does the VH or VJ series Hardtops. you can clearly see the width of the rear of the sail pillars, they are much wider than that of a VH or VJ hardtop.

The car was chosen for a gag later in the film where it was intended to jump over the defensive pit around the depot, but the weight of the 360 was overlooked when the speed required was determined and the car nose dived very quickly due to not having gained enough speed on the loose dirt, but they kept the footage in the finished film.
I do not know what became of the car after the film, but as it was one of only 400 CH Chrysler by Chrysler Hardtops ever built, i hope someone has it in a shed under restoration. If not, then the footage is a fitting tribute. Warm regards to all.
