Some squirts of WD40 and it is as good as new!  It is an 86" or 88" Series I (1954-58). |

A general question: in the nomenclature we are using regarding Land-Rovers, shouldn't we use "Land-Rover / Model or Series / Wheelbase / Suppl. info" iso "Land-Rover / Wheelbase / Model or Series / Suppl. info" ? Ex. : "Land-Rover Series III 109" Station Wagon" iso "Land-Rover 109" Series III Station Wagon". What says the official nomenclature? It is more useful the way it is, as the wheelbase is treated like a name and is the main identificaton feature. The Series is like a Mark field and groups the vehicles by their age. |
