No visible Mobil identifier so I guess this is pre-WW2 footage from Bonneville in successful record attempts in Sept 38 (350 mph) or Aug 39 (370 mph), and not the Aug 47 session as Railton Mobil Special when it broke 400 mph - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Railton_Special . |

Brave men in heroic cars. These things were, and still are, named after whoever stumped up the cash to cover the costs, hence the addition of Mobil for the later efforts. |
