This is very unlikely a Zodiac, as Zodiac was an upmarket version of the Zephyr. Thus it had to be as different to the Zephyr as possible for as little cost as possible. The easiest way to make a car different was to give it a two tone paint and leather upholstery, apart from a few "bling" additions, like chromed wheel embellishers, a more complicated grill, a little bit more chrome on the rear stem and gold emblems. Only one Zodiac I know of is painted in only one colour http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11RvAsiP8zQ (from about 3:00) and that one too was painted in two tones originally. The one pictured above is a 'Low Line' Zephyr with the chromium plated rain gutters and redesigned rear lights introduced in Feb 1959 on the 1959 model. |
