'E' Registration not found on DVLA but 1967 would make it 420G (1966-70). Grill also has the thicker central rib as 420G I believe. |

The car is actually an H reg March 1970 420G that is one of the last 200 built. A pencil line drawing of the front of the car was used on the UK film poster and DVD sleeve. It was fully restored between 1994-96 and is lovingly cared for by its 3rd owner. The car has also appeared in a couple of episodes of the TV series Heartbeat screened in 2005 where it was a support character's car. I am the owner of the car and bought it as a restoration project in 1994. It is finished in Rolls Royce colours, Alpine Silver over Burgundy and has won several prizes over the years since I put it back on the road. Very few 420G's or Mark Ten's seem to have survived and are a rare sight on the road. -- Last edit: 2007-06-21 16:47:11 |
