My first ideas were 68 livery, Cosworth V8 = Lotus 49. No wings yet - pre-season workshop photo with dusty tyres?? But then I started thinking that Jim never drove a GLTL livery F1 race in 1968 before his accident (his 68 South African GP car [49/R4] still had 67 green/yellow scheme), but he did drive in the 68 Tasman series in his 1967 F1 car [49/R2] - http://www.oldracingcars.com/f1/car.php?CarID=49/R2 - with a 2.5 Cosworth DFW. And he drove with #6 in the penultimate Tasman round at Melbourne, which was his final race win before that Hockenheim race http://grandprixinsider.wordpress.com/2008/02/25/40-year-ago-jim-clarks-very-last-win/ . -- Last edit: 2014-02-23 16:57:32 |
