1971?

First MY for the Rekord D was 1972, but since this is a new movie, I'm sure it's possible to procure more accurate info about this car in particular.

At the D-Rekord only a few wee details were changed during the productions-times, only in 1975 IIRC. I think, this is an early one here.

It seems that there were at least two different Rekords used in the making of this movie. The one in the set photos has got black Polish licence plates and plain bumpers, while the one on the poster has got a white plate and bumpers with both overriders and (partial) rubber trim (1976+) and 1975+ trim.

So the drawn is bad.

Well, only the first half is a Kadett, the second looks like a Bristol 410 or something like that :D

P.S. [:heink] What's up with the car in the background? Any closer shots? I have a vague feeling...

There is an anachronism with this car, as it appears in the movie when the plot tells about things that happend in 1969.

Janek PL

Are you sure? This movie is set mainly in 70s and 80s.

krzychoo PL

Yes, but the plot starts a little bit earlier (1968 or 1969). And I'm pretty sure that main character is using this Opel in years when it didn't exist yet.

krzychoo is right. First scenes supposed to be in 1968 (invasion in Czechoslovakia) and the main character was already using this Rekord. It was also said that he bought this car few years earlier.

You mean the scene with officer's listening to radio from GAZ-69? It's set in december 1970.

Still it is before Opel Rekord D production has began (in 1972).

OK, you was right, the movie starts in ~1968, with Rekord already in use. My mistake.

But didn't the took two cars? Here it's damaged at the back: /vehicle_720515.html
And have you noticed, that there are two different set of wheels? Once the basic Rekord D-steel rims and twice the steel rims from the 1983+ facelift-Rekord E.

Now, we have much more pictures. :sun: I added the link when we have the single small (movie making) photo only.
I think older stunting car deserves extra page.

No, there are multiple cars used in most of the movies, there is no reason to make multiple pages except when it is a completely different model
