Only the trucks fitted with Scammell automatic couplings could be said to have some Scammell in them and even then not many include Scammell in badging, only Bedford AFIK . These could be uncoupled without driver leaving cab and were only of low capacity up to about 1O tons , Mechanical Horse been the most famous example. Scammell also made normal artic ( semi ) trailers of all sizes to go with any truck but the trailer has nothing to do with make . -- Last edit: 2014-07-23 17:33:16
