How false are those number plates? No way is this a '69, they stopped production in late '67 or early '68. |

Last thumb has different wheel trim. Production stopped late 68 before XJ6 launch in September, so a G would be dodgy but possible as old stock. However NTW 886 was only issued with C in period = 65; we have another S-Type (or series of them) as BHE 884C which often evolved into BHE 884G - /vehicle_514767-Jaguar-S-Type.html . As we also have police S Types with NUW 988E and "988L" plates (see list in /vehicle_17408-Jaguar-S-Type-1967.html ), the 88 inclusion in all these plate sets is beginning to look like a coded message ....... -- Last edit: 2013-02-05 18:45:55 |
