Equipped with Firestone Wilderness A/T tires, one of three models at the heart of the Ford Explorer/Firestone controversy. Of course, being an Australian market model, chances are that they were never recalled there, as the issue took place in the US, even though there is a high likelihood that these tires were made in Firestone's Decatur, Illinois plant, the main production facility involved in the controversy. The Explorer seen here (/vehicle_663951-Ford-Explorer-1999.html) is also equipped with Wilderness A/T tires. -- Last edit: 2014-01-11 05:36:21 |
