According to IMDB, this is the van from Little Miss Sunshine.

This one looks like an older model, it has the chrome side spear and doesn't have the high turn signals at the ends of the front vent.

looks like a similar year (like my 78 westy)...the front turn signal is just washed out by the light.

Since this is the Little Ms. Sunshine bus, it should be a 1978 and not a 1973. ;) (8 years later [:kiki])

I think IMDb is wrong. The one from Little Miss Sunshine is a 1979, and this one is a 1968-72 model, because this one doesn't appear to have the turn signals on each side of the vent.

In the meantime it seems that the info was deleted from IMDb, so it was indeed most likely fake

This one is definitely a 1968-72 model because the turn signals are under the headlights. But the turn signals on the 1973-79 models are high above the VW logo.

This one is NOT a 1978 model! I repeat, it is not a 1978. You know why? Because there's no turn signals above the VW emblem.
