Location is the Arcos da Lapa, which was an aqueduct built in mid 1700, and became used for tramway connection between the center of the city and the hills of Santa Teresa. In the background it is the Mesbla (Mestre et Blagé) Building which was a department store with its large clock and bells. The Arcos are still preserved but the whole surrounding houses have been demolished to create a large plaza.

These wagons arrived in 1950, as far as I know.
