An extreme rarity: /vehicles_make-Alfa+Romeo_model-Arna.html
...and one of the worst cars ever in the automotive history :/

btw.: sorry, for provoking the old discussion again, but is just "origin Italy" correct?

I think it wasn't so bad after all..anyway I don't know for the origin, but since it was a Nissan Cherry with Alfasud engines and revised suspensions, maybe origin Japan wouldn't be wrong..How is considered Nissan Cherry Europe's origin?

I may be wrong, but wasn't only a Nissan with Alfa engines, it must had also some other modifications on the chassis perhaps. I believe that "Origin: Italy" is correct, as isn't just a Nissan assembled in Pomigliano d'Arco...

I had see only one Arna: was dark "faeces" brown, and terribly rusted, especially on the arches and under the doors, typical places where old Fiats begin to rust...

Yes, something on the chassis was changed and also settings, etc..and mechanic was nearly totally different..anyway, the only one Arna I've seen was also in that colout but was surprisingly in very good conditions, without visible rust..it was driven by an old men..

Body parts came from Japan to Pratola Serra (Avellino, Campania) and in them they fitted boxer engines and a chassis sourced from the Alfasud. The Pratola Serra plant produced also the RHD Nissan Cherrys for the UK market.

Italian car magazine 'Quattroruote' tested a 5drs Arna 1.2 SL in January 1984 and was good impressed by its performances and interiour space, but not so impressed by exterior and interior design, which was defined too far from Italian likes, in particular for what concerns the interior. But in general they defined it a good affordable Alfa Romeo.
