And anyway the year has to be found too. "Name" that you mention is the coachbuilder and the name given by it, but the name given by Cadillac is just "Commercial Chassis" (that we list as "Ambulance" or "Funeral Coach" most of the time) |

Professional car (ambulance) on the Cadillac commercial chassis for 1956 (note the oval, through-the-bumper exhaust ports). The absence of a side view and any tail-gate markings make it impossible to positively identify the coachbuilder. Roof quarter panel design is more common on certain Superior and Eureka models that year (not so common on Hess & Eisenhardt or Miller-Meteor professional cars). |

Judged from the quarter windows, this appears to be one of the last coaches built by A.J. Miller (before they were conjuncted with Meteor to form Miller-Meteor in 1957). -- Last edit: 2008-01-02 23:22:46 |
