Is that a Leyland grille?

Got any double-decker streetcars here?

;)

The radiator is of "Manchester" style, like Guy Arab V of CMB on HK Island.

IIRC even in Birmingham this front appeared on Daimlers, Leylands, Crossleys (I think) as well as Guys.

Doesn't quite look like my memory of Birmingham fronts, which is that they were fairly flat and vertical - this looks as if protruding and slightly slanted. But I'm not a bus brain.

The tin front was developed in Birmingham by the BMMO and first appeared on the D1 prototype during WW2.

The next major user was the Birmingham City Transport on its "new look" Crossleys, Guys and Daimlers. None of the city's Leylands had the tin front, which varies slightly between the marques. The major differences are found between the Birmingham, Manchester and St Helens fronts. Birmingham has the lights either side of the grille panel, the Manchester style has a full width front with the lights further apart, and the St Helens front is just different, being cut away to improve the driver's view.

St Helens

There are also more variants on Fodens, the Atkinson, the Liverpool style, the "Johannesburg" Guy front and probably a few more half cab double deckers.

Not CV5G, but CVG5.

Please correct the vehicle category name, is CVG5 not CV5G.
