Something 10 years younger... |

Agree P6. Looks an early one - opening quarterlights, proper leather seats. Maybe 68 3500??? |

at 130rapid, they really looked 10 years ahead, later ones had single rear seats, my father drove one before he upgraded to Jaguar it was that typical caramel candy color with vynil roof -- Last edit: 2013-10-25 23:22:43 |

I'm thinking you're all wrong, guys. Done many detail comparing before writing 'Something 10 years younger' because nothing fits with P6 (one of - me too - beloved British cars) which have MUCH more interesting interior design than showed on main photo. Here we have rather boxy 70s dashboard -> please compare with early and late P6 facias. And actually it's enough to say 'something other than P6'. But let's do other steps. Leather seats -> P6 has differently shaped. Also note the much more wraparounded rear window in P6. Thumbrial shows different scene and different car. Yes, probably Rover P6 |

Looks like 'Coke bottle' styled car. However Cresta [PC] has different facia. -- Last edit: 2013-11-08 16:54:05 |

OK - good spot to separate thumb from main (thumb does have black trim and headrests ...). How about Mk4 Zodiac for main? Thick rear pillars and dash would fit?? |

Good match. dashboard, interior mirror and door panels seems correct. However upholstery looks a little bit customized comparing to origin, maybe when refurbished after years of wear? |

Oh, I done nice compliment for Ford designers. |

I believe this is not just any Zodiac, but a Zodiac Executive, which was the most expensive version available (apart from the stretched ones, of course). Here's a picture from a sales brouchure http://www.flickr.com/photos/aceanorak/6464608215/ . If that one is going missing here's a complete test of the Executive Link to "www.flickr.com" . -- Last edit: 2013-11-20 10:27:29 |
