Doesn't have the engine cover of the Veyron SS. Probably a standard Bugatti Veyron with a Supersport body kit.

I noticed that myself. But is it a real Veyron at all or a replica of some sort? I find it hard to believe they would use a car that's still $1 million plus in an action movie.

Car should have 2-3 stars, was used in the final race against the 'hero' and 'villain'. For most shots likely a Veyron dressed up to look like a Super Sports.

No, it's completely fake. A couple platforms were built with Chevy LS3 engines and only replica body shells were switched. This should be listed as "replica."

Yes. 3 stars. Its an SS WRE replica. I've yet to see a Veyron SS with a normal Veyron's engine cover and half gloss/ half matte paint job. Gets destroyed by the way.

The driving was actually done with a "normal" Bugatti dressed up and repainted in the orange-black of the SS "World Record Edition".
However, the crashed car was a custom made buggy, carrying a glass fibre-shell.

I saw this vehicle on Top Gear, James May took this version on the Volkswagen Test Track in Germany and achieved 417 Km/h (or 259 MPH).

Later after James May, Volkswagen's top test driver took it out on the track and achieved 431 Km/h (or 267 MPH).

As a result of the high speed run, it had regained the title of the "World's Fastest Production Road Car" from the Americans.

It also has a price of £1.2 million ($1.9 million US or $2.2 million AU).

I wouldn't call this a buggy. These stunt cars were made from a tubular chassis made for each car and then a tuned Chevrolet LS3 V8 was put in place of the original engine.
But that Bugatti... Why?
