I see a Henry J between the Impala and the pickup.

It can also be Bel Air as well

Is there anything that we can tell the difference between Impala and Bel Air based on this finding?

If I remember well, only Impalas had those trim over the front fender near the hood whose goal was possibly to cover the directional idiot light. I don't know the name of such stuff but I hope you understood...!

Did you mean the trim at the top of the front fender. I did researched and compare:

1959 Chevrolet Impala: /vehicle_478122-Chevrolet-Impala-Convertible-1867-1959.html
1959 Chevrolet Bel Air: /vehicle_109619-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-1959.html

I hope this helps :)

...riluna2 You are right. I checked better and I discovered that only the cheaper Biscayne lasked that trim.
Thank You for Your comment. Sorry for the mistake.

Rj, both of your links depict Bel Airs.
Can you change the Impala one?

Impalas had a chrome streak leading back from the fender ornaments.
I believe the subject car is a Bel Air.

Wow, Commander 57! I surely missed that

You are quite right about that and the spear trim is slightly different from the Impala series: /vehicle_478122-Chevrolet-Impala-Convertible-1867-1959.html
