So many 1987-1990 Caprices. I think that in 1997 more taxis were 1991-1996 Caprices and Crown Victorias. |

Well Charger, if you look at Die Hard: With A Vengeance, you'll see lots of 1980's Chevy and Ford taxi's on the NYC Streets. |

The main capture shows what is probably older file footage, hence the older cars. Many of the taxis in Die Hard 3 were prop cars, hence why they were also older as well. |

I agree with you. I saw Die Hard and I can say that this taxis weren't real NYC taxis. Also, I was in New York in 1998 and 1991-1996 Caprices were the most popular taxis. Also, I saw many Crown Vics. |
