This plundging bonnet, this slightly curved grille, wouldn't they make it more a 1941 Dodge WC (1, or 14, or etc.) than a GMC CCW? A comment, somebody (4x4peru for instance)? |

Looks like the 1/2 ton Dodge WC12. I do not think the star on the nose is correct. |

Fine! And what made you see it was a WC 12 and not a WC 1, neither a WC 5, nor a WC 14 or a WC 40, 4x4peru? |

No identifying feature from this pic, other than closed cab no winch and top bows in the rear (too short). The only thing I see is the blackout light over the left headlight of the later models but that is easily added. Based on the production numbers (someone else can look those up) the WC12 (6000+ units?)is a good possibility but not definitive. The WC5 WC14 & WC40 were only a couple hundred units. I had a WC12 (& WC4 WC22 WC13 WC57)and therefore that is what I recall but you are correct the others are a possibility. |
