Any chance it could also be a Coronet?

Donovan...This is a MOVIE...This vehicle (and any police vehicle on this site for that matter) may NOT be an actual car from that agency....In other words it may not be a real LAPD police car...the car was made to look like that for the film....And how would one tell if it is an actual police car??

Well, their is a more likely chance that it is a real one.

Donovan Savage wrote It's a 1978 because it's LAPD

In 1977 the Los Angeles Police Department purchased 247 units of the Plymouth Fury at $4,759.16 apiece. In 1978 the LAPD purchased 179 units of the Fury at $5,580.36 apiece. No record of any Dodges being purchased.

somename hit the most obvious point: The LAPD was a Plymouth customer, not Dodge. Also, the front doors should have the side trim, the light bar is wrong, and the decal placement is incorrect.

somename, where did you find that info?
