You're right: Here the Renault writing is on top of the windscreen instead og it being on the bumper. The grille though is really different: check the losange in top, and the much thinner chrome frame. Also the radiator cap on the other car was a standard Citroën feature, and of course there should have been the double chevron, but in that year the double chevron was fixed behind the grille, so not very visible if not looking straight to the front. |

Another plongée on a car in a René Clément's film: … same Renault taxi circa 012640. (Ceci dit pour illustrer mon propos sur les Rolls vues dans Monsieur Ripois, /movie_47243-Monsieur-Ripois.html.) |

There is another taxi Renault in this film, taking Jean Marais & Michèle Morgan from the Gare de l'Est (Eastern Station). I'ts a more recent one, maybe KZ23 from 1935 from the Metropole fleet (= G2 registered) like this one seen a bit latter > /vehicle_69915-Renault-Vivaquatre-Type-KZ23-1935.html) To see here (with so many Simcas on background views !) https://youtu.be/BTLYFOaK3DY |
