dsl ◊ 2011-11-15 18:38	Heavy duty US recovery trucks like this are fairly rare in UK, but a few are used for lorry recovery, motorway standby fleets and for racetrack coverage. Another source may be vehicles sold off from US miltary bases/facilities in UK.

I've seen one time a Brazilian built VW-tow-truck in use by a VW-dealer in Wolfsburg, but this is more expectable that a product of annother brand. Over here it's similar, as dsl says about the UK. A few US-made tow-trucks like that above -some bigger ones are running here, too- are in use here, also mainly for truck-recovery companies. Recently I saw a newer F 350 tow-truck around here. For those goes the same, as robi has pointed out (the same as for all kind of US-made Fords): they aren't available officially at Ford Germany, but on special order of a willing Ford-dealer or a private imorter, you can get them.
