Mulsanne? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentley_Mulsanne_%281980-1992%29 |

Yes, Mulsanne would be my guess too. |

Quad lights, body coloured radiator shell and alloys suggest 1989+ Turbo R but all of these elements are frequently changed so it might be another model or older. |

Though there may be some telltale feature we've missed, if there's nothing that proves it isn't a Turbo R, why not list it as one? This film is from 2012 so a Turbo R of that vintage would be an old car anyway and probably not hard/expensive to get hold of. Although, is that a mesh grille? If so it's definitely been customised. -- Last edit: 2013-05-13 18:33:37 |

My preference was for it to stay as unknown when I commented. I hadn't noticed it had been listed as Mulsanne. I think you are right about the grill, too so god knows which one it actually is. -- Last edit: 2013-05-13 18:45:25 |

1997 Brooklands R? http://www.rrab.com/bbrookr.htm#top |
◊ 2013-05-21 14:31 |
No, it's older than that (it hasn't got the redesigned wing mirrors) |

Changing back to unknown because this is not a 1997, it has doesn't have the right bumper or wing mirrors. -- Last edit: 2013-06-13 12:05:02 |

Found this film on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-TjH9Oq3aQ Appears between 12:15 and 15:00 This has dual single exhausts, so it's not a Turbo R or Mulsanne Turbo, and it has the original dashboard design with the digital display (the Eight didn't have this), so it's a 1980-84 Mulsanne that's been tarted up a bit (vinyl roof, new headlights, grille, badges, alloys and steering wheel) The character who owns it definitely seems like a gangster. -- Last edit: 2013-06-15 18:46:04 |

It makes me wonder how many of the others are correctly listed considering how frequently you see them these days in such non-factory condition. |

But with many of them you can't see much anyway, even if you watch the film they're in (if I hadn't seen the interior I wouldn't be so sure) Also "these days" is the operative term, the ones in things like Howard's Way are more likely to be original because they weren't that old at the time. I think if it doesn't seem obviously bastardized it's OK to name it as a Turbo R or whatever based on what you can see. -- Last edit: 2013-06-15 19:26:34 |
