Shot during the waning days of the Desilu, '40 acre' back lot. Walker's drug store in the center, now Rusk Hotel. The court house on the left. Next to the Court House, the window where Andy spent many hours listening to Floyd's many insightful and informative remarks. The best of which, were uttered after Howard McNear's stroke. The car in the foreground looks like one used by a musical troop which visited Mayberry on a couple of occasions. It was referred to as "the Bus". The Mayberry car I'm thinking of was, a Cadillac. It had fold down steps on the C post. Steps much like seen on school busses in the 70's. Steps used to reach the windows for cleaning on the busses, but on the Mayberry Band's Cadillac, it was used to strap luggage to the top of the car. |

On second look, this is not the Cadillac Airport Limousine seen in The Andy Griffith show as Bobby Fleet's Band with the Beat, 'bus'. |
