No, because none of the film was made in the USSR. It's true that there are two genuine Soviet cars, but they are Volgas which were reasonably easy to obtain in western Europe. |

anyone think the headlights look FAKE, painted on rather than being real ones ? |

this should be moved in Simple truck category , its not a military fighting vehicle is a most likely a FAKE anyway |

as it is defenitely 4WS, I would go with the made for movie vehicle based on Unimog (+ the headlamps from Lada) |

It's a Castelli CP5FV mobile crane chassis with the crane removed. You can see the ball end on the stabilizer ram for the left rear stabilizer leg in the screengrab.![]() |

Looking back on this again because I'm bored on an overnight at work. This scene was filmed in Norway. Castelli is such a niche manufacturer in Italy that no records exist of the CP5FV anymore. Thus I'd guess the vehicle featured in the movie was something more common. Upon digging some more it seems that the Grove AT735 used an identical chassis to the Castelli. As such I believe the movie vehicle is actually a Grove AT735S with the crane removed. ![]() -- Last edit: 2025-03-09 17:08:45 |
