Could be a Super Imp 1969 or Post 1970 |

Defiinitely Imp related |

Is it really that importent? It's a Hillman Imp, for crying out loud. |

Well, it IS an Imp, but is it a Hillman? With these chromes on front and sides, I'd say it;s a Sunbeam Imp Sport (1966+) |

1969+ facelifted Imp; either a Hillman Super Imp or a Sunbeam Imp Sport. From this angle they were virtually identical - the only difference being the colour of the logo inset on the front trim strip on the right (as seen from front). Super Imp was black, Imp Sport red. I think in the blur there's some red (but.....) so I'm nominating as 1969 Sunbeam Imp Sport. There's an Ami estate on the left - anyone want to play the Is-it-a-6-or-8 game? 8 would be more typical in UK, but let the vultures descend. PS both cars also in /vehicle_57505-Citroen-2CV-AZAM-6-1967.html , but doesn't help any further. -- Last edit: 2012-10-01 16:54:49 |

Thanks for helping with these Imps ![]() The Ami on the left is an 8: no ribs between front wheel arch and side moulding; new built-in door handles; colour is Beige Gazelle (AC 079), available only in 1977-1979. |

Sorry - change of plan - this is a 1969+ Hillman Super Imp. Sunbeam Imp Sport had sunburst-pattern wheel trims and red inset to side trim. |
