This one is a mystery at the moment. You cans ee that this car has its radiator down the front between the chassis rails whereas the racing Renaults had side-mounted radiators even as early as 1901. For example, this is the car Marcel Renault used to win the 1902 Paris-Vienna race - http://www.flickr.com/photos/mullevoorde/4564522138/ I think the car in our pic is something other than a Renault. The links to museum cars are confusing because they are dated incorrectly. If it is a Paris-Vienna car it has to be 1902. Paris-Madrid is 1903. -- Last edit: 2013-02-23 19:26:56 |

I think this car is more likely a Mors - either from the 1901 Paris-Berlin race or the 1901 Paris-Bordeaux or maybe the 1902 Paris-Vienna. -- Last edit: 2013-02-23 19:30:01 |
