RR SC/Bentley S. Are over-riders correct for S3? |

It's a Royce, you can just make out the oblong badge in the centre of the back bumper, the Bentley would have had a winged "B", and it's an SC III, you can just see the name badge on the bottom RH corner of the boot lid, only present on the III. I don't understand this over-rider thing but there are big squiggly ones (some SC3, same as SC1/2) and smaller straighter ones (other SC3 - eg /vehicle_184451-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Cloud-III-1962.html , /vehicle_140458-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Cloud-III-1963.html , /vehicle.php?id=226627 ). I guess smaller ones as later, but think we had a comment about UK and EU only, never for US. Also not sure if/how applies to Bentley S3 - see for instance /vehicle_52433-Bentley-S3-1962.html (which confuses things by being US). |

Remember that with a R-R or Bentley you can do a lot of specification variation, even on the Standard Steel saloons, so to say that something always happens, or never happens, just isn't true. My 1953 Bentley has two or three bumper/over-rider choices according to the data in the service manual, and also has a centre gear change which it shouldn't have, the lever should be on the right of the driver's seat.
