Probably only a 4 cylinder as all the sneak footage so far shows that it is slower than the tank. Boss 32 rather than 302? |

maybe just an old rusted junker repainted a bit , they wouldn't destroy an authetic 302 .... (or at least I like to think so) -- Last edit: 2013-02-06 14:59:48 |

Either they used a junker, or one of those reproduction bodies that are available. |

i know of a couple companies that make fiberglass replicas too, so it might have been 1 of those too, but dollar for dollar, it would have been less expensive to just use a complete car |

OMFG!!! So sad to see a nice Boss 302 being crushed by a tank!!! |
◊ 2013-04-08 04:55 |
It's called a Anvil boss and for the crushing it was a aluminum body on a focus chassis. |

I think it was made for European markets because of the yellow headlights... |

The yellow headlamops look like coloured gel on the lenses instead of yellow bulbs. |

Thats the Anvil Mustang. Featured in Motor Trend |

I saw an issue of Autobuy where this car was for sale, so more than 1 was used... |

In these movies there are always various units of the cars involved in action scenes, and sometimes most of them get trashed. |
◊ 2013-08-02 19:05 |
That's sad. Why is it always the hot rods that get trashed? I hate that. Doesn't anybody realize that THIS is why you barely see these cars on the road anymore? |

Yes, this is really sad! But I think that they usually use replicas for the crash scenes, at least with the classic cars, like this Mustang. Other times they use cars from junkyards that will be destroyed anyways. But, sadly, in some occasions they use original cars in perfect conditions and wreck them. I hate when they do that. |

Why is anyone saying Boss 302? It has the rear arch scoops that were deleted from the homologation special Boss 302. Also the smallest engine option in 69 was the 200 cubic inch (3.3 litre) straight 6, so NOT a 4 cylinder. The cars aren't slow, it's the tank that is superfast thanks to Hollywood magic. =;-)X |

Why is everyone writing about a destroyed mustang? The movie-car was build from scratch with the Chevy-V8 that all musce cars (and even the escort) in that movie got, and for the crushing scenes they attached parts of a Mustang to the tank, so there wasn't an actual Mustang crushed |

Another one at the end parked right behind the Gallardo owned by most likely Tej, so this is probably Roman's (seeing how Roman does like exotic and muscle cars both, but leans more to muscle cars) |
