According to Wikipedia, this truck is a 1972 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne. Is that right?

Not with that grille. It's either a 1969 or 1970. It is a C-10 Custom Sport Truck, that mush is true.

:think: I'll wait for Neptune to chime in. He's pretty good at ID'ing these old Chevy pick-ups.

According to the Dammann book, I found matching side trim goes to 1970 Chevrolet C-10 DeLuxe Fleetside, but no other information :think:

Comments are most welcome here :)

1969 or 1970 seems correct, CST/10 fender badge, bow tie logo on Hood. Fleetside is just the flat bedside compared to a step-side. List as 1969 CST/10 Fleetside?

@tore-40
What about listing it as 1969 C-10 CST Fleetside? There doesn't seem to be any CST/10 models on the site.

@rjluna2
Are you seeing something about the trim that excludes 1969 from the year range?

I was poring over these vehicles that I found in this site has similer trim with 1969 grille insert. So, we can say this is 1969/70 Chevrolet whatever this trim level until otherwise noted.

I don't know if anybody else here edits Wikipedia, but perhaps we should address this issue there.

Why not? What I meant was to list with the full name something like '1969 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Sport Truck Fleetside'. Verified by the CST/10 badge. But there are a couple of them here already, listed just as C-10. Sorry if I was inaccurate...

CST or Custom Sport Truck, was just an equipment level package that was basically replaced by Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super for 1971.

Cheyenne and Cheyenne Super would pave the way for the arrival of the top-of-the-line luxury Silverado equipment package in 1975, accomplishing GM’s quest to make a proper luxury pickup truck.

So CST is appropriate for the extra information field. It should not be apart of the model name.
