'Dune Buggy' is certainly not the brand name as set right now, probably not even the model name, but just the category ... and surely meant like this by JR. I don't recognise a VW engine. It therefore might be base on a Hillman Imp chassis. |

We were using that name for these vehicles when they could not be identified (rather than leaving all of them as "Unknown") |

Good luck finding a Hillman Imp in North America. It's definitely VW based, but it has no engine. The transaxle is visible, however. It's either a Meyers Manx or one of the similar, knock-off brands. They had several imitators. |
