Exiv96 ◊ 2006-10-25 21:49	Can it really be 1986 ? According to imdb, this episode 2.16 was first broadcast on 14 February 1986, while the '86 Grand Prix took place on March 2nd. So, logically, the racing scenes were shot during the 1985 race. However, in 1985, race number 61 was allocated to a Ford powered Royale RP40. Yet there is a Buick sticker on the car. Very strange. Maybe the production re-shot some racing scenes with several cars who didn't necessarily appear in the '85 Grand Prix. -- Last edit: 2006-10-25 22:21:26

There was a Buick-powered Royale RP40 (identical to the Argo JM16) entered in the last two rounds of the 1985 IMSA series under the number 61. That would also explain the presence of the #13 Outlaw Racing Argo JM19 : /vehicle.php?id=54838 And of the #2 Leon Bros Racing March 85G, already in its 1986 livery : /vehicle.php?id=54836 http://www.racingsportscars.com/chassis/archive/85G-5.html And of this Nissan 300ZX, which raced in the Trans-Am series, instead of IMSA : /vehicle.php?id=54819 -- Last edit: 2017-07-13 12:22:37
