Dauphine was sold in the US but the bumper looks bizarre (compared to this one or any other US model on the website) -- Last edit: 2012-10-16 19:22:44 |

Look again, it has a welded/one-piece bumper, which is different compared to others. http://pics.imcdb.org/13592/snapshot20121015195056.13.jpg /vehicle_224471-Renault-Dauphine-1958.html -- Last edit: 2012-10-16 19:50:19 |

Those big headlights MIGHT suggest a Willys made Dauphine? -- Last edit: 2012-10-16 20:20:52 |

1958-60 Renault Dauphine. The headlights are US-specific. The shorter Amerika-Bügeln are probably 1958-only, with a higher, whole lenght piece (across the spare wheel well) later - could be a legal demand. The bumper looks something like this: Edit: No legal demands until the seventies. Just a result of the American bumpers beeing placed so much higher than on a standard European car. -- Last edit: 2012-10-17 04:34:27 |
