Strange livery. These cars are supposed to be from the East German police?

Yes

They had Lada cars. But the car in question has Fiat hubcaps.

And handles are also of Fiat. The orange indicators can be of Lada though.

Edit: if it is a survivior from the PRL times - means 124 officially imported to Poland in the 60s, then they were available here since ca march 1967.

Interesting. I didn't know that West Germany had conserved the old police cars from East Germany (and for a long time, according at the picture's date).

The real Volkspolizei livery was cream at the top and green at the bottom, so the cars should look more like this:

The interior is not original: it looks like a later Fiat 124 seat upholstery.

Faked snitcher. Those in the DDR were known for (faked) leather coats or blouson-jackets.

Uniforms is wrong They have these guys in the N.V.A. uniforms...VolksPolizei had dark blue green uniforms..Pathetic that a movie made in 2012 couldn't get the details right, I might understand had this been made in the days of East Germany though as these was hard to get back then.
