The movie is filmed in Germany, so these are Chrysler Saratoga |

Except if it is part of the re-shoot done in Canada ![]() |

Many older US-cars in Germany are leftovers from US Army members, brought with them or imported from the United States. |

No, not this scene. Due the style of the house in the background it's definetely made in East Germany. One of the many locations there in agony, former VEB's or military places. |

So is this a Saratoga or not ![]() |

We have 29 Spirit on the site, and 11 Saratoga. Since this scene obviously was shot in Europe and only the Chrysler was sold here officially, I vote for Saratoga. ![]() |

Sorry sirs, but I'm a bit irritated - wasn't this car sold in the USA as Chrysler Saratoga? ![]() When I'd been with a friend in Denver in 1993 (to the world meeting of the license plate-collectors), we had such a car as rental car - and it was definetely and for 100% named Chrysler Saratoga. |

I'm sure you've heard about badge-engineering Ingo. This car was sold with product names Chrysler Saratoga/Dodge Spirit/Plymouth Acclaim. |
◊ 2009-10-09 20:00 |
Yes, I know, but was it sold in the USA with all three names? |
◊ 2009-10-09 20:10 |
I just did a little research and it seems that Saratoga was a re-badged Dodge Spirit intended for export only. So only Spirit and Acclaim were sold in US. |

You got my point: the car we had in 1993 in Denver,CO, WAS a Chrysler Saratoga, no Plymouth, no Dodge. For 100%. |

The Germany - only Mercedes [T1] vans arrive with the SWAT team during this scene. These must be 1989–1995 Chrysler Saratoga with the repeaters removed. |

@rtsbusman1997: the architecture is, as mentioned, a much stronger evidence, that this scene was filmed in Germany (resp.in the former DDR) ![]() |

That too. |

Also, the Chrysler Saratoga was NEVER sold in North America or Canada. They went under the Dodge Spirit badge. I saw the car you were referring to. It had a Dodge grill. |

![]() ![]() I'm still absolutely sure, that it has a badge "Saratoga" :O Maybe I shall ask my travel-companion from 1993, if he still has kept the rental contract... |

"The Saratoga name was revived in 1989 when Chrysler rebadged its Dodge Spirit sedan for export to Europe". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Saratoga#1989.E2.80.931995. That is all. ![]() |
