It is...after watching this episode, and scene, It looks like an older model Chevy extended cab to me. Don't know if this is just another Southfork truck, or if this is supposed to be Elena's? If it is supposed to be Elena's, what happened to her Land Rover? -- Last edit: 2012-07-21 05:16:10 |

Yeah...I knew it was a mid to late 90's model Chevy, but wasn't sure of exact year. Don't know why this old of a truck is on the new "Dallas", except I'm assuming it's supposed to be one of the Southfork ranch trucks that Elena was using. |

Yeah def one of the ranch trucks since they seem to all be Chev Silverados. Perhaps the Ewings kept this old truck for when they really have to do rough work and don't want the newer trucks being damaged. |

Or perhaps this was once a Southfork Ranch truck but the Ewings have since given it to Elena's mother after replacing it with the new one and Elena was just using her mother's car here. |

Probably. I think Elena is living with John Ross on Southfork Ranch property right now, so this is probably one of the older trucks. Don't they sometimes remove a vehicle's emblem if that brand hasn't given permission or doesn't have a deal with producers to "advertize" their vehicles? There were a few moments in this scene where you saw the front of the truck and I didn't see the Chevy emblem...even though you can tell it was a Chevy. I also didn't see any "Silverado" emblems on the side like normal. I thought this was all kind of "goofy" since GM is sponsoring the show. |

Perhaps since car was not supplied by GM (being an old model and all) and therefore the logo was hidden. Also Chevrolet has no reason to advertising old models that are long out of production. |

More likely that not, this truck wasn't provided by Chevrolet. The production probably obtained it as they wanted a generic "older truck." After all, not all vehicles on a ranch can be brand new ![]() |

I agree, I doubt GM actually provided the show with this truck...it's too old. But, since GM is sponsoring the show I just found it strange that the brand and model identifications from this old truck were missing. There would be no reason to remove or hide those. But, Oh well... And, yes it's more realistic if they have older trucks along with new ones...so having a 94 Chevy along with an 11 or 12 Chevy makes sense. -- Last edit: 2012-07-26 04:28:49 |
