Wolseley, but is it 18/85 or??. There are several of these on the site. Perhaps a check number plates mind find some used more than once? |

The registration number is London, January 1951 to December 1952, and was issued mainly for commercial vehicles. Production of the Series III Wolseley ended in 1948, so the car has either received a replacement or the plate is false. The 14/60 and the 18/85 used the same body, but production of the 18/85 was greater, no doubt aided by the police users, at 8213 as opposed to 5731 for the 14/60. It therefore seems logical to call it an 18/85, although we cannot do more for the date than say 1939, the year the Series III was introduced. |
