Pics from film: Definitely the winner of "The Best Onscreen Death Of A Herald" award. Looks as if only one car was involved - I could not spot any continuity hiccups as the battle scars increased - a brave stunt driver without any obvious protection in a car with a weakened structure due to sunroof and apparently no seat-belt. Local assembly seems exactly the same as UK for all detail, except perhaps plain glass windscreen instead of laminated (unless replaced for filming?). A second red background Herald at 11-45 and another very blurred white one nearby - presumably these were local hire fleet fodder at the time. |

They were: when I visited Malta in 1968 I booked a Herald convertible - but ended up with an elderly and well-worn Morris 1100. The yellow number plates denoted hire cars. -- Last edit: 2014-01-15 21:05:06 |

Slight goof then - this is a local family owner, not tourist rental. |
