Could this be the 1983/84 Chevrolet Blazer?

Rounded-line 1985-1988 Chevrolet Blazer (K-5) in Silverado trim.

It’s had either an aftermarket body-lift kit or home made body-lift kit installed, which, while they provide more clearance for larger aftermarket tires, they ruin the overall look of the vehicle. Notice the K Blazer’s frame and running gear are highly visible and the bumper no longer sit snuggly up against the body.

Some body-lift kits have even been deemed unsafe, due to stories of the body separating from the frame and/or losing steering control from inadequate steering column extensions.

If more tire and ground clearance is needed, an aftermarket suspension-lift kit is better all round than any body-lift kit, despite suspension-lift kits being more expensive.

However, the capture does give a great view of the vehicle’s transfer case, and one can see the transfer case skid plate armor.

Which part of the grille or grille work? The center bar piece which holds the Chevrolet "bowtie" emblem?

If so, then yes. That was painted to match the body-color on rounded-line pickups and utilities that had the deluxe front appearance package, which also included dual tier halogen headlamps and additional bright metal décor surrounding the grille work and center bar.

The deluxe front appearance package was standard with the top-of-the-line luxury Silverado trim package.

Here is a photo of my '87 V 10 Fleetside

It has the Silverado trim package which came with (among other things) the deluxe front appearance package. The dual tier halogen headlamps and eight-piece bright metal décor surrounding the grille work and center bar are factory correct.

The center bar was originally body-colored, to match the rest of the pickup which is Steel Grey metallic. However, in late 2004, I took the vehicle to a nearby body/restoration shop to have it repainted. They made some mistakes on a few areas, including painting the center bar Argent Silver to match the headlamp surrounds. Funny they still made mistakes considering they called in a GM official who was supposed to have had cosmetic and technical knowledge about these rounded-lines. I guess he did not have enough knowledge...

So my pickup is not a good reference point in that respect. It does irritate me that the center bar is supposed to be body-colored, and now its not. The next time the pickup is carried to finish it's restoration, that cosmetic error will be fixed.
