Was this factory or converted right hand drive? |

It looks like a CJ-5 from here. |

CJ-6 |

It is a CJ6 and most likely built as RHD. The lwb CJ6 continued as "export only" 1977-81. This one has the internal wiper motor beginning 1976 and the rectangular shape of the fuel filler makes me think this is 1978+. |

Looks to have external wiper motors in the thumb. |

The registration plate suggests this one was registered here in about 1998 or 1999. It may be an import from Japan. |

Carjam tells us it is a 1980 model but I don't know date of first registration to know which market it was built for.. |

Indeed eviv96. Imported from Singapore in 2000. I believe, if we research, we can decipher the chassis number to possibly ID more information. The arbitrary NZ assigned VINs do not seem to hold crucial details we need. Edit: JON84EF060408 J - Jeep 0 - 1980 N - 4 speed 84 - CJ-6 E - 4150 lbs. F - ? Motor should be here but F is not listed in the decoder I have. 060408 - sequential number. Link to "www.quadratec.com" -- Last edit: 2020-12-16 00:22:05 |
