None of the shots show it clearly but this had two-tone paint if it helps narrow down the trim. |

2000-2001 Ford Excursion Limited (UW137) Eddie Bauer trim was not available, not yet anyway. There was only XLT and Limited at the time of the vehicle’s launch. Front spoiler (seen in the main capture) was added to hide the BlockerBeam™ reinforced four-foot tubular steel bar located below the front bumper. The BlockerBeam was added to the Excursion to comply with new vehicle-to-vehicle crash standards. The system was designed to make the Excursion "crash friendly" with smaller vehicles. Also noteworthy, was the rear heavy-duty weight distributing trailer hitch, which was also designed not only for heavy-duty trailer towing, but also to keep smaller vehicles from running under the Excursion’s rear bumper in the event the Excursion was rear-ended by another vehicle. It could tow up to a full 10,000 lbs (5 tons) of braked trailer. Excursion was available with conventional four-wheel drive featuring a two-speed dual range New Venture Gear (NVG) 273 transfer case with electronic shift and permanent 50/50 torque distribution. Also included on four-by-four models was four-wheel all-terrain anti-lock brakes (ABS), Traction-lok limited–slip rear differential, and dual front closed-loop recovery points. |
